Samsung Galaxy Axiom Launched in the US

While the smartphone market is flooded with the arrival of 6-inched phablets, Samsung has rolled out in the US market now the Galaxy Axiom with a 4-inch display for those who feel these oversized gadgets uneasy in their hands.


The newly launched Samsung Galaxy Axiom sports a 4-inch TFT display which bears a display resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream sandwich) operating system.

The South Korean Tech Giant has powered the Galaxy axiom with a 1.2 GHz Dual Krait Qualcomm Processor. The other specifications of the device includes a 5MP Rear Camera along with a 1.3MP Front-facing camera for video calling.

It houses an Internal memory of 1.85GB which may be further expanded up to 32GB via Micro SD Card. The connectivity features of the Galaxy Axiom includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS, A2DP, AVRCP, AVCTP, AVDTP, GAVDP, HFP, HID, HSP, MAP, OPP, PAN, PBAP and SPP.

U.S. Cellular is the 7th largest mobile carrier in the United States of America and runs its own 3G and 4G LTE networks in the different parts of 26 states. The Galaxy Axiom offers support to U.S. Cellular 4G LTE Network which is presently limited merely to four major US clusters. So, the buyers  in the US will have to find out details of availability in their region before buying the device.

Further, we would like to tell you that the Galaxy Axiom is expected to give a tough competition to the Galaxy SIII  being a slightly less powered and less expensive alternative for the flagship device from the same manufacturer. Indian fans of Samsung devices will have to wait and hope the phone arrives in the country as no information of the same is available yet.
