Samsung Galaxy Gear watch is now compatible with Galaxy S4, S3 and Note 2

If you want to live out fantasies of Inspector Gadget but don’t have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone then we have got good news. The Samsung Galaxy Gear is now compatible with more Samsung devices including Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S3 as well as Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Company has rolled out Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system version update for these devices in which the support for the Gear is added.

Samsung Galaxy S4 owners in various regions can now take the full advantage of the Samsung Galaxy Gear on their phone because it has been updated with Android 4.3 OS version just a few days back. Samsung first rolled out this OS update for the phone in Russia this month and then it was available for the Indian users.

Through a significant effort to enhance and enrich the Galaxy experience, Samsung continues to empower our users in their mobile lives and enable smart freedom with Galaxy Gear.” said JK Shin, CEO and President of IT division Samsung.

In addition to that, Samsung has also announced that Gear will be compatible with more Galaxy devices – including different variants of Samsung Galaxy S4 flagship and Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 & 6.3. The support for the smartwatch on these devices will be rolled out via an independent software update by the end of October.
