Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I9082 First Impressions

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I9082 has the design of many other Samsung phones with a bright and colourful display. On appearance the phone has the make of Galaxy SIII which is slightly heavier than Samsung Note II with chrome trim on edges, the problem here is the chrome trim tends to fall off when use for long. The plastic design is similar to the Galaxy SIII. The rear is designed with a classy mosaic adopted pattern that has the ability to hide fingerprints.


The Grand Duos has a thick dimension of 9.6mm with robust build with a decent weight of 162g. There are sensors fitted on the front of the camera, the same trend which is also followed in other Galaxy cameras. The front is also equipped with 2MP camera. The 5-inch display is the dominant feature of the camera with a classy thin bezel on the borders.

There are two GSM SIM card compartments below the rear along with microSD compartment. There is also a separate rear cover with flip-style screen protector which is of a thick build. Overall the camera portrays as stunning appeal to attract customers at first glance.

The camera offers impressive resolution of 480x800 with large range of icons. The quality icons used is the TFT LCD, to enable effective viewing angles and colour quality. The phone functions of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz . the UI is of tough build as observed in Note II with new stunning features and SIII is equipped with Multi-window, Pop-up play, Smart Stay, S Voice and motion type gestures.

The interface has a quality build contributed by the ARM Coretex A-9 MPCore SoC which comprises of dual-core CPU that functions at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM. The SoC is supported by NEON video decoding and ARM TrustZone technology. The GPU is designed with low resolution screen with performance similar to that of GPU in Note II.
