Taking more form and factor after presumption and pondering over the leaked pictures and specification sheets and much rumour, the new Galaxy Note 8 emerged at the Mobile World Congress. This tablet is of a whopping 8 inches which takes on (and surpasses in terms of size) the 7.9-inch iPad Mini. The crucial and determinant factor will probably be its pricing, that being said, Samsung is not out there to offer a reasonable tablet, where apple contends with its pricey devices.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is wider than the average 7 inch tablet and is instead a lot more comfortable. The purchaser is sure to take absolutely no time to get used to its dimensions. The design is still simple which contributes to its premium look. The corners are rounded and body is itself soft with a touch of metal here to make it sturdy and resilient. There are buttons the menu key, home key, and the back key. On the new Note 8 will also have the ability to use the S-Pen with the three buttons.
This Samsung Note 8 has a 5 megapixel back camera and a front camera for video calling. There is also a Micro USB port and a slot for the S-Pen at the bottom. The Galaxy Note 8 runs on the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), and also uses TouchWiz UI. The Note 8 will come with a 3G (HSPA+ 21) variant however this feature will be left out in the U.S. and the devices there will only contain Wi-Fi. The 3G version will however support for the GLONASS satellite navigation system.
The display is an 8-inch screen having 1,280x800 pixels and a pixel density of 189 ppi. The screen is intuitive and highly responsive equally using S-Pen and fingers. Internally the Note 8 has a 1.6GHz quad-core A9 processor and has 2GB of RAM. Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS are all packed in along with a gyroscope, accelerometer, and a digital compass. The tablet will be available in 16GB and 32GB varieties.
