Samsung Galaxy Note updated to Android 4.0 ICS

Samsung has upgraded the Galaxy Note GT-N7000 with Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz. The Galaxy Note N7000 users will be informed via notifications when the update reaches them.

The Android 4.0 ICS update will bring to Galaxy Note GT-N7000 device the following features:-

  • The update will bring a new user interface through TouchWiz.

  • S Note app has been added which lets you take notes through an advanced technology.

  • The set of applications and widgets added have been designed in such a way to suit Galaxy Note's S Pen stylus.

  • These applications and widgets are together called the Premium Suite. Scrapbook tool is one of them. It solves equations  automatically after recognising the users handwriting. So use stylus in scrapbook to get your equations solved.

  • Also performance of the Galaxy note has been tweaked through the update.



Android 4.0 ICS update's weight is more than 319.6 MB. Hence downloading it through a WiFi network is recommended. The download of the update is possible through the desktop software Samsung Kies. This software is found on the official website of Samsung for Mac OS X and Windows.

The update has been rolled out in Europe first. India users will have to wait for their turn. However keep checking Samsung Kies. This update by Samsung comes in the wake of the users being more aware of technology and demanding the most advanced features in their applications.
