Samsung Galaxy S - Froyo update

Android Froyo version will be rolled out to Samsung Galaxy S beginning today. The Samsung UK Official twitter status says it all "Froyo starts rolling out today; everyone will have it by the end of Nov. To prepare, get the latest version of Kies". - Tweet Link.

What new features does Android 2.2 OS offer:

- Google Maps with Navigation: GPS navigation system with voice guidance
- Faster performance by JIT (Just in Time) compiler
- Adobe Flash Player 10.1, which allows the web browser to make full use of the whole web
- Improved customization options
- Setup Wizard: Quickly customize the GALAXY S and access networks with ease
- Home Screen/Menu Preview and Edit : Preview by pinch-zoom
- Search in-Browser : Google, Translate, Wikipedia, Dictionary
- "Update All" Feature that updates all the installed apps to latest version with single click.

No news on when Froyo update would be rolled out to users in India. Hopefully, we can expect it by the end of november
