All smartphone-makers try to go overboard and bring something never seen before on the table when it comes to their flagship devices. Samsung did something similar when it unveiled the Galaxy S6 edge (review). With a dual-edged display, the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge somehow managed to infuse curves in a skinny 7mm chassis and is the world’s first smartphone to do so. The brand made another addition to its flagship portfolio and launched the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ (first impressions)which is a grander version of its sibling and sports a 5.7-inch curved display. Curious about what the device comes with apart from its futuristic self? Here’s a quick unboxing of the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+.

The device ships in an understated white box, and upon opening the lid you’ll find the sleek device resting on a plastic tray with a groove deep enough to accommodate  all the documentation viz. a quick start guide, SAR information and warranty card. A SIM ejector tool sits beneath all the paper.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ rocks a 5.7-inch quad-HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of about 518ppi. Under the hood, the smartphone hides an Exynos 7520 chipset with a four-core cluster humming at 2.1GHz, and another quad-core cluster for low-power operations running at 1.5GHz. There’s 4GB of RAM to aid the processing. The S6 edge+ comes in two variants – one with 32GB of non-expandable storage and other with 64GB. Connectivity options include support for 4G, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, GPS and Wi-Fi. There’s 16MP/5MP camera configuration. The device runs Android Lollipop v5.1 with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top and sips juice from a 3,000mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ is priced at Rs 57,900.
