Samsung has officially announced its two new entry level smartphones, Samsung Galaxy Star and Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo.
Samsung Galaxy Star is a smartphone running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system on its 3.0 inch Display with QVGA resolution. Powered with 1GHz processor along with 512MB of RAM, this affordable Android device comes with 4GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 32GB. It features a 2.0MP rear camera but lacks having a front facing camera. It has been powered with 1200 mAh Battery as well. On the connectivity front, it lacks 3G leaving only 2G (EDGE) and Wi-Fi as options to access the internet.
Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo comes with almost similar specifications. It houses a less powerful processor of 850 MHz but compensates by being a 3G capable device. Specifications of Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo also make it a great alternative to the outdated Samsung Galaxy Y.
There’s no official information available regarding the availability and pricings of both the devices. However, we assume Samsung Galaxy Star and Samsung Pocket Neo to hit the market shortly. Both the devices are assumed to be launched for around $100-$150. Dual SIM variants of both the phones will also be available depending on the market.
If you can’t wait till launch, consider buying Samsung Galaxy Music Duos, which comes with Android 4.0 onboard with rest of the specifications similar to Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo.
