The highly anticipated Android smartphones, Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos are available for pre-order booking. Samsung officially introduced these smartphones to Indian consumers last week. Both the devices come from DUOS family that is populous in India. Adding to that, the original versions Samsung Galaxy Y and Samsung Galaxy Y Pro are revolutionary devices. Samsung, after adopting the new naming (series Y, M, Z) strategy introduced the devices. Apparently these devices were sold in high numbers in Indian market.
Samsung Galaxy Y Duos is a full-touch smartphone comes with a 3.14 inch display and carries a matte like finished metallic back panel. The device comes packed with an 832Mhz processor, 512MB ROM and 384 MB RAM. The device sports an 3.2 Megapixel fixed focus camera that is capable of video recording at QVGA@24 frames per second. The device runs on Android OS v2.3 Gingerbread with TouchWiz UI. The external memory slot can accommodate a MicroSD card up to 32GB.
The new Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos belongs to the same DUOS family. This smartphone looks much similar to the above discussed Galaxy Y Duos. However this device comes in different style that is Touch & Type functionality. This smartphone carries a 2.6 inch TFT Capacitive touchscreen display and a full house QWERTY keypad. Galaxy Y Pro Duos sports a 3.2 Megapixel rear-facing camera and a 0.3 Megapixel front facing camera. Apart from this the other features including the connectivity options are same. Additionally, the Galaxy Y Pro Duos comes pre-loaded with enterprise level apps and tools VPN, EAS, Afaria, CCX, Storage Encryption & Polaris.
Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos are priced at Rs.10490 and Rs.11090 respectively. Both the devices are expected to be available in the month of March 2012.
