The device resembles the Samsung Galaxy Pocket in terms of its looks and design with Duos written, just over the Home button, to indicate the dual SIM as Samsung does. So, we can expect it to belong in the same budget Android smartphone category.
The device key specs include a 2.8-inch QVGA TFT display with 240x320 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 850 MHz processor with 4 GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB externally via micro SD card.
The device has a 2 MP rear camera and the connectivity options on this device are 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, WI-Fi Direct, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and micro USB. The device runs on a 1200 mAh battery.
The device features Galaxy Music, Galaxy Chat and Galaxy Pocket.
Samsung will be launching the much awaited flagship device for the year, the Samsung Galaxy S IV tomorrow. The Galaxy Y Plus, will be joining the Rex series which include the Samsung Rex 60, Rex 70, Rex 80 and Rex 90, in the budget Android smartphone series.
Samsung has not made any official announcements about this new smartphone and the pricing details are also to be disclosed. However, if Samsung has displayed the device, along with its detailed specifications on the Indian website, which could mean that we can expect the device to hit the the stores very soon.
