Samsung introduces Windows-8 based ATIV Smart PC, ATIV Smart PC Pro in India

Samsung has released ATIV Smart PC and ATIV Smart PC Pro hybrid devices in the Indian market. Both are powered by the latest Windows 8 OS and sports 10-finger multi-touch screen.

The first mentioned device sports a 11.6-inch touchscreen full-HD LCD and comes with the popular S-Pen of the company. It is powered by Intel Atom Z2760 processor and features USB 2.0 port. It is just 9.9mm thick and is priced tagged Rs 53,990.

The later hybrid device is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor and also comes with a S-Pen. It is equipped with USB 3.0 port and sports an 11.6-inch touch screen full-HD LCD. The device is 11.9mm thick and it is tagged with Rs 75,490 price.

Both these devices are available in India with a detachable keyboard docking system so that users can conveniently switch between a tab and conventional laptop.

Jin Park, Vice President of IT Solutions Business at Samsung Electronics, stated that both the devices along with Samsung Notebooks would deliver seamless user experience via convergence technologies spread over multiple devices.

Samsung IT Business director Uday Bhatt said, "Samsung has had a great year so far with its products being accepted in the market. We have established a strong foundation and we will continue to bring in innovative products and new user experiences to delight our Indian consumers."

Meanwhile, Samsung has also confirmed that even though its Smart PC and Smart PC Pro comes with Windows 8 OS, but those are fully compatible with Windows 7.
