This is not the first time we are experiencing such uncomfortable relation with Samsung. It has let down we Indians earlier too in similar way. The recent one was the official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system update on Galaxy S II. The company had promised the update to take place by the end of April, but still we are waiting for it.
