Samsung announced the Google's Android Ice Cream Sandwich for their own devices. This could happen for a handful devices, apparently the flagship device. Certainly the update is not intended for the entire portfolio which is well anticipated. Samsung being the only equipment manufacturer handled the Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. So, it will be able to handle the potential problems while upgrading the devices to the new version.
Samsung in Italy, confirms the list of devices entitled for the update. This include, Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0
If you got any one of the above devices, you're good enough to taste the Ice Cream Sandwich. But then, there is a catch over here. The roll-out isn't coming so soon. Samsung said, they will initiate the Android update during second quarter of 2012 and this isn't confirm. But, why Samsung does that ???
The bottom line is, Samsung wants to sell some Galaxy Nexus smartphones till time. Samsung alone isn't taking time, the other players including Sony Ericsson and HTC announced that they have plans to adapt Android 4.0 and this could happen somewhere in Spring of next year. So, there are only two options left for us to experience the Android OS v4.0. One, wait till 2012 second quarter or if you don't have patience, own a Galaxy Nexus !!!
Smartphones have become a necessity in today's digital age. Be it browsing the web or connecting with you...
