The highly anticipated Samsung Wave 3 smartphone running the second generation of Bada OS is available in stores now. The new Samsung Wave 3 code named Samsung S8600 is the successor of Samsung Wave II S8530. The korean electronics and smartphone maker, Samsung announced the device in the month of August, 2011 along with a couple of smartphones targeting mid-range and entry level market audience. The new Samsung S8600 being positioned in the premium segment in the Wave family derives a great level of expectations among the consumers including the price factor.
To reach the expectations, the new Samsung Wave 3 comes with only few iterations made from the previous version. The major change we could derive from the previous version is the Software/OS it is loaded. The Bada 2.0 itself comes with few updates including multi-tasking, Wi-Fi direct, HTML 5, Voice recognition and Near Field Communication. The new Samsung Wave 3 comes in an Anodized Aluminium body with 9.9mm thick and elevated with the same 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with multi-touch input method. The device weighs 122 grams and packed with 1.4Ghz processor, 3GB internal memory and 1500 mAh battery.
The device sports a 5.0 megapixel Auto-focus camera with LED flash and which is capable of recording videos at 720p HD. Additionally, it houses an front-facing camera with video calling support under 3G HSDPA, HSUPA radios. Samsung Wave 3 connects and communicates with other devices using Bluetooth technology, Wi-Fi and Micro USB2.0 ports. This smartphone comes with A-GPS locator for navigation purpose. There are plenty of Apps available with Samsung Bada 2.0 OS from Samsung Apps and device can accommodate a 32GB microSD card for additional memory.
