Simmtronics launches XPad X720

So we have another player in the tablet Warfield. Simmtronics, a computer peripheral maker has launched yet another budget Android tablet in the already crowded market. The specifications are as good as any other tablet in this price range.

The company has launched Simmtronics XPAD X-720 for a price of Rs 4600. As per the company, its a ‘Made in India’ tablet which has already been launched in some Middle East countries.

Simmtronics XPAD X-720 sports a 7 inch capacitive touch screen running Android 4.0 powered by 1 GHz Allwinner A13 ARM Cortex A8, Mali 400 GPU and 512MB DDR3 ram. It features a VGA front camera to facilitate video calling. For storage it has 4GB of inbuilt memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via Micro SD card. On connectivity front, it has USB 2.0 OTG, micro USB, Wi-Fi and 3G via dongle. The tablet is backed by a 2800 mAh battery.

These specifications might sound very familiar as tens of other tablets in this price range (or even cheaper) boasts the same set of specifications.

“In our strategy to reach out to our audience with most innovative products, we have launched XPAD X-720 which features Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 with capacitive multi touch screen. This tablet PC is packed with exciting applications to appeal the youth and deliver best gaming and computing experience to the users,” Says Mr Indrajit Sabharwal, MD, Simmtronics.

The company also promises to bring more tablets and smart phones in the Indian market in near future.
