Skype iOS updated featuring Microsoft account integration

The Microsoft acquired Skype has come up with new iOS update. Now users can log into this app by using their Microsoft account.

This Skype update permits users to chat with their friends or contacts who are available on Messenger, Hotmail as well Outlook.com too. It also lets users to edit instant messages by simply tap and hold command, choose an emoticon while typing an instant message, and animated emoticons for units with Retina display. More to all these, users can now also edit saved phone numbers right from the dial pad.

The updated app also supports rich display of Apple's iPhone 5.

Dubbed as the Skype version 4.2, the app is made available on App Store. It has retained support for the iPhone devices running on iOS 4.3 or later.

Earlier this month, Skype for Android platform was also updated and it too facilitated signing in with Microsoft account. Moreover, the design layout has also been changed for Android app. The update is made available to Android 2.1 and above running devices.

According to Skype, the sound quality of the app has been improved and several bugs have been fixed too.

Skype also recently released update for Mac and Windows desktop users. It is Skype 6.0 and includes Microsoft and Facebook account integration. This mean signing in has become more instant and easier for new Skype user.
