Sony Ericsson hints Xperia Neo V with Android 2.3.4

|August 25 2011 |Smart Phones, Sony Ericsson

Sony Ericsson unveils Xperia Neo V much before the IFA 2011. This new comer to the Xperia family could possibly be the successor of Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo released early this year. Even though there is no word about the succession, the device pretty much looks like the original Neo holding the same dimensions, same weight, same display, same innards.

Though the device looks much similar in looks, the hardware totally changes the pulse. Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V comes with a 5 Megapixel camera instead of 8 megapixel in the classic case. But, this wasn't a good decision from this phone's point of view. Since, the Xperia Neo has more weightage with the camera quality. The device sports a front facing camera with VGA quality for video calling. Xperia Neo V runs on the newly announced Android OS v2.3.4, the 3D-friendly software update that Sony Ericsson also announced today with a few Facebook updates and also capable of taking screenshots. Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V boasts a 3.7 inch screen and packed with 1GHz Snapdragon processor which is similar from the old case. This smartphone is likely to be expected some time in Q4, 2011. The pricing will be slightly lower than that of the original Neo.

Sony Ericsson clarifies, "The Xperia neo V will be coming in below the Xperia neo and the Xperia ray, but above the Xperia mini and Xperia mini pro, so from a price point, it will be more accessible for consumers."
