Sony Xperia Z Ultra launched in India for Rs 46990

The giant sized successor of Sony Xperia Z is here. As expected, Sony has launched the Sony Xperia Z Ultra in India for a price of Rs 46990. The device will go on sale across nation within 2-3 days.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra is a waterproof phablet sporting a 6.4 inch Full HD display running Android 4.3 out of the box and will be upgradeable to Android 4.3 very soon. Sony has powered the display with Triluminos technology (used in Sony TVs) which claims to provide a better rendering of graphics on already great display. Needless to say, the device is water and dust proof like its predecessor.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra comes with a powerful configuration featuring 2.2 GHz Quad core snapdragon 800 processor supported by 2GB of Ram. For shutterbugs, it features an 8MP Exmor camera with 16x digital zoom and LED flash. Additionally, it has a 2MP camera at the front for video calling. Packed in waterproof device, the camera can shoot pictures and videos underwater as well. You can store you pics and other multimedia files in its 16GB internal memory which can be expanded further up to 64GB.

The phablet is fully loaded on connectivity front as well. It offers 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS, Wi-Fi, GPS, Micro USB, TV Out, DLNA etc as connectivity options. For a longer backup, it houses a 3000 mAH battery with STAMINA mode.

As per Sony claims, users can use any pen, pencil or stylus as a stylus for this phone. Also, if you looking to buy it in India, you will be entitled for 8GB of free 2G/3G data from Vodafone.
