As expected, Sony announced to launch its next flagship, Sony Xperia Z1 which was rumored a lot under the code name Honami. Sony Xperia Z1 is a 5 inch phablet focused more on ruggedness and photography. The awesome 20.7 mega pixel camera comes with some cool features which would make this device a pleasure for photography lovers.

As said, Sony Xperia Z1 comes with a 5 inch capacitive full HD display loaded with Triluminous technology which Sony uses in its Bravia TVs. Running on Android 4.2.2, the device will be powered by 2.2 GHz Quad core Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Needless to say, like its predecessor, Sony Xperia Z1 is also a waterproof device which can survive under 3 feet of water for 30 minutes.

The main improvement comes in form of camera where Sony has embedded a 20.7 Mega Pixel lens at the back of the device. The interface of camera has been improved by a set of softwares like Info Eye which provides information about objects being shot or Time Shift  Burst Mode which let you click 61 pictures in just 2 seconds.

The device will come with 16GB of internal but expandable storage and a 2 MP secondary camera for self portraits and video calling. Depending on the country, consumers will also get free cloud storage and contents.

Sony Xperia Z1 will hit the market by the end of this month. There’s no official hint on pricings yet.
