The Indian company, Swipe Telecom has launched two new dual SIM devices, the Fablet F2 and F3 recently. The Fablet F2 is a phablet and the Fablet F3 is a tablet. Both devices are built on the Android platform and will be available immediately in the market.
The two new phablets are the latest entrants in the 5 inch touchscreens category. While the Fablet F2 will come on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform, the Fablet F3 comes with the latest Android 4.1 JellyBean operating system. Both phablets house a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 0.3 MP VGA front camera for video calls.
The Fablet F2 has a 5 inch WVGA capacitive multi touch screen with 480x800 pixel display resolution. It is 10mm thick and weighs 260 grams. It has a 1GHz single core processor with 256MB of RAM. It has 4GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB via micro SD card. Connectivity options, beside dual SIM service, include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and USB 2.0 connectivity. It has a 2200 mAh battery which the company claims will last up to 6 hours.
