Swype Keyboard with Advanced Hindi Language support

|March 22 2013 |applications

The popular Android keyboard application, Swype has been updated to support Hindi and Belgian Dutch languages. The app comes with advanced language support with the new update.

Swype statement says that, "Advanced Language Model helps predicts what you will input right out of the box. Some call it Black Magic, but in reality a super aggressive completion tool combined with context and next word prediction algorithms help populate your word choice list right off the bat.”

The new update also features improved responsiveness for tap input for all languages, besides some bug fixes in Smart Editor Behavior.

The Android 2.3 Gingerbread device users who were experiencing crash issues when they tried to use Swype in landscape mode,  can now enjoy a better experience as their problem has also been addressed.

Another issue that has been addressed is the one where the default Android voice input, ‘mic’/’microphone’ icon displayed in place of the Dragon logo.

Since the new update is still in beta mode, it is still not available for download on Google Play Store. However, users will be receiving the update within the next 72 hours.
