It’s a brand new year, and our weekly roundup of iOS apps and games is back after a short break. Headlining the app launches this week are a useful money management tool and a gorgeous weather app. On the gaming front, we've shortlisted the official World Rally Championship game, as well as an intriguing title based on Lego's Bionicle toys.

Popular money management app MoneyWiz has been completely revamped in the form of MoneyWiz 2. The app lets you create various accounts, including ones for your cash wallets. You can connect the app to your online bank account by paying a subscription. Other features include budgets, reminders to pay bills, interactive reports and sync across multiple devices and platforms.

Coach.me_iconCoach.me (Free)

Personal coaching and self-improvement app Lift has been relaunched on the App Store as Coach.me. The app lets you choose from over 200,000 goals, and then select a coaching type – Advice, Motivation or Prompting. You can either choose to use the app free, or pay for a one-on-one coach to assist you with reminders, Q&A’s, personal mentoring and more.

Wthr Complete_iconWthr Complete (Rs 120)

Wthr Complete is a beautifully designed weather app that features a gesture-based interface, animated weather conditions and colourful, gradient backgrounds. It displays the last four year’s average weather forecasts for a particular day, and shows you detailed satellite and radar map animations. It also displays the local time for each city, doubling up as a world clock.

Games

WRC The Official Game_iconWRC The Official Game (Rs 250)

The official iOS game of the FIA World Rally Championship is now on the App Store. The game lets you drive the 18 official cards of the World Rally Championship, and play as any of the 17 official drivers or yourself. You’ll get to compete in the 13 official WRC races, and attempt to win the Championship. The game offers touchscreen / motion detection controls, three cameras and compatibility with gaming controllers.

Ace Ferrara & The Dino Menace_iconAce Ferrara & The Dino Menace (Rs 190)

The space opera shooter Ace Ferrara & The Dino Menace which disappeared from the App Store for a while is now back. The game centres around Ace Ferrara, an intern with the Proton Riders superpilots, who must defeat the evil space-faring dinosaurs. All the features of the original game are present, along with a few additions like different weapons for different ships, a new ‘hard-to-the-max’ difficulty mode and iPhone 6/6 Plus optimisations.

Lego Bionicle Mask of Creation_iconLego Bionicle Mask of Creation (Free)

Based on Lego’s Bioncle range of construction toys, Lego Bionicle Mask of Creation will have you playing as the six heroes who must fight to regain the lost Masks of Power. You’ll get to quest in six elemental regions, collect more than 100 customisable pieces, battle in 74 arenas and improve your fighting technique in Endless levels.
