This week, we’ve got a GIF making app from the folks at VSCO, plus a photo-editing app from OnePlus. On the gaming front, there’s a beautiful handmade adventure, a sci-fi horror first-person shooter, plus an intriguing spy puzzle game doused with 60s glam.

VSCO, the makers of popular image editing app VSCOCam have launched a new GIF app called, wait for it, DSCO. The app (pronounced ‘disco’), lets you capture, edit and share GIFs. You’ll be able to edit GIFs using popular VSCO and limited edition presets, publish directly to your VSCO profile and share to Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

To celebrate the launch of the OnePlus X (first impressions), OnePlus has launched a new photography app for both Android and iOS. As the name suggests, the app lets you create mirror reflections. You can adjust the position of the ‘X’ centre point to create unique reflections, using images captured by both the front and rear camera. The app features a simple user interface, and lets you share directly to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other apps.

Lumino City_iconLumino City (Rs 300)

A beautiful puzzle adventure game, Lumino City has been handcrafted completely out of paper, miniature lights and motors. You’ll get to explore a real model city filled with sky gardens, boats marooned on huge waterwheels, and houses placed precariously on cliffs. You’ll get to play with real objects to solve puzzles, controlling windmills, providing power to homes using only lemons, and playing challenging games of pinball. The app also lets you record your game with Replay Kit, and share it with friends on social networks.

The sci-fi horror first person shooter Dead Effect 2 has just made its way to the App Store, and packs in even more gory space zombies than its predecessor. The game features over 20 hours of campaign gameplay and 10 hours of special missions, plus an elaborate achievements system. The RPG game lets you equip your character with three different personas, with over 100 upgradeable body implants and gear sets. There are also over 40 upgradeable weapons, customisable onscreen controls and character training and development on offer.

Octodad - Dadliest Catch_iconOctodad: Dadliest Catch (Rs 300)

Octodad is a stylish octopus masquerading as a human, and it’s your job to ensure he doesn’t get caught out on his bluff. You’ll have to take control of Octodad as he goes about his life, helping him master mundane tasks using his unwieldly tentacles. In this sequel to the original game, you’ll have to help Octodad soothe his wife’s mounting mistrust, and get him out of a disastrous trip to the local aquarium.

Agent A_iconAgent A: A Puzzle in Disguise (Rs 190)

You are Agent A. Your mission? Infiltrate the hideout of enemy spy Ruby La Rouge and eliminate the target. Set in a 60s themed world filled with futuristic contraptions and hidden gadgets, you’ll need to explore 15 rooms, solve 30 inventory based puzzles and 20 puzzle screens. You’ll need to make observations, take notes if you notice something out of place, and collect objects to unlock a trail that leads to your target.

For the next one week, the mind-bending puzzle game rop is available to download for free. The game features a minimalist design and a 198 levels that will keep you busy for hours.
