Micromax’s sub-brand YU also has an offering that ranks among the cheapest smartphones with 4GB RAM. The phone has a loaded spec sheet as apart from the beefy RAM, the smartphone comes with 5.5-inch 1080p display and runs the slightly older Android 5.1 Lollipop. It’s powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor and offers 32GB of internal storage, which can be expandable up to 128GB. The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front camera. Ensuring it lasts long, the Yunicorn has a 4,000mAh battery inside, which promises to deliver up to eight hours of continuous browsing. Micromax’s Canvas 6 Pro is perhaps the most affordable smartphone in India that features an impressive 4 gigs of RAM. The phone comes with a 5.5-inch display, and is equipped with the powerful 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795m processor. It packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. In the camera department, the Micromax Canvas 6 Pro packs a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The Micromax Canvas 6 Pro ships with Android 5.1, and is juiced up by a 3,000mAh removable battery.

Lenovo’s K5 Note is one of the best smartphones priced under Rs 15,000. It has two variants – one with 3GB RAM and the other with 4GB RAM. With a 5.5-inch full HD display, it’s a good option to consume multimedia content, which is further augmented by the fact that the company supports Virtual Reality with the AntVR headset (available for purchase separately). The phablet draws power from a 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor and features an expandable storage of 32GB. For software, it comes with Android Marshmallow 6.0 topped by Vibe UI. The Vibe K5 Note flaunts 13-megapixel rear camera dual LED dual tone flash. It offers an 8-megapixel selfie camera which is quite good for taking casual selfies. All this stuff is handled by a 3,500mAh battery, which ensures a day’s worth of usage.

It’s interesting that the Chinese brand is solidifying its presence in the budget segment in India. Along with the Coolpad Max, the company also has the Note 5 in this list. As far as the cameras are concerned, it has a 13-megapixel snapper at the rear and 8-megapixel front shooter for all the selfie lovers. Unlike many other devices in the list, it features the relatively recent version of Android, i.e. 6.0. It’s powered by a capacious 4,010mAh non-removable battery.
