"Chinese manufacturers could be looking to end 2016 with a flurry of smartphones"

Slowly and steadily we’ve entered that phase of the year where new smartphone launches seem to be few and far between. It looks like most of the action in the world of technology has already taken place and this is when brands try and capitalise on what they’ve launched so far during the year.  But 2016 seems to go against these norms, as Chinese manufacturers seem to be looking forward to expanding their smartphone catalog in India. Be it ZTE, Xiaomi or Lenovo, we are expecting a host of new smartphones to land in the country pretty soon. And by soon, we mean this November. So it seemed only logical that we create a list of such smartphones for you. And that’s exactly what we have done. Here are a few top smartphones you can expect to be launched in India this November.

ZTE Axon 7

Although ZTE hasn’t been as successful in India as compared to its home country of China, the launch of the Axon 7 might be a big step towards achieving this feat. The smartphone flaunts a plush metal design, a 5.5-inch 2K display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4 gigs of RAM, dual front-firing ATMOS speakers and what not. Moreover, it packs in enough power in the optics department to keep all the shutterbugs happy. There is a 20MP rear camera with optical image stabilisation and phase detection auto focus on offer, accompanied by an 8MP selfie shooter. The dual-SIM capable Axon 7 draws fuel from a 3,250mAh battery. In a nutshell, the ZTE Axon 7 looks like a complete beast of a smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is the first smartphone from the Korean giant to feature a massive 6GB of RAM. Initially launched in China last week, we expect the device to be available in India in the near future. The C9 Pro is a phablet as can be seen by the large 6-inch full HD Super AMOLED display. Under the hood, it packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, mated to an Adreno 510 GPU. Despite rocking a beefy 4,000mAh battery, the metal unibody of the C9 Pro measures just 6.9mm around the waist. There is 64GB of onboard storage that can be expanded further via a microSD card. In China, the phone is available in Gold and Rose Gold hues at a price of 3,199 Yuan (~Rs 31,690)

MEIZU m3 Max

Back in September, MEIZU unveiled the m3 Max smartphone with a massive 6-inch 1080p canvas encased in a premium metal unibody design. The phone features an mTouch 2.1 fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button, which can unlock the device in just 0.3 seconds, and offers secure payments via Alipay and WeChat. Under the hood, there is a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, working in tandem with a Mali T860 GPU and 3 gigs of RAM. A beefy 4,100mAh battery keeps the whole package alive, while also supporting mCharge fast charging technology that is capable of charging the smartphone up to 45 percent in just 30 minutes using a 24-watt charger. The MEIZU m3 Max has been priced in China at an equivalent of Rs 16,900 and it’ll be interesting to see how it spurs up the competition if and when it lands in India.

Lenovo K6 range

Lenovo has had a busy year with the launch of numerous devices round the globe. The company launched the VIBE K4 Note in India back in January followed by the VIBE K5 Note a few months later. And guess what, rumours have it that the brand is now getting ready to launch the Lenovo K6 range of smartphones in India. And we’re not even making this up, as the devices have already been made official at IFA 2016. The K6 range of budget smartphones includes the Lenovo K6, K6 Power and K6 Note. All three phones come with metal unibody designs, fingerprint scanners, Dolby ATMOS speakers and are powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC. While the K6 and the K6 Power are compact phones with 5-inch displays, the K6 Note is a phablet as it flaunts a larger 5.5-inch screen. Not just this, it gets upgraded hardware as well. We expect Lenovo to launch only the dual-SIM variants of the smartphones in India.

ZTE Nubia Z11

ZTE announced the Nubia Z11 in China back in June, and the company announced at IFA 2016 that it plans to bring the device to the Asian markets including India. The smartphone comes with flagship grade specifications including a 5.5-inch full HD 2.5 display, a Snapdragon 820 processor, up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage. For the optics, the Nubia Z11 settles for a 16MP primary camera with dual tone LED flash and optical image stabilisation, while the front of the device houses an 8MP selfie camera. Interestingly, the Nubia Z11 opts for a USB Type-C port instead of a regular micro-USB port. A 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fuels the device. Overall, the Z11 seems like a very powerful device.

LeEco Le Pro 3

In the short span of time LeEco has been on the Indian soil, it has tasted huge success owing to its powerful range of smartphones that come with aggressive pricing. Late last month, the company launched one of the most anticipated smartphones in China – the LeEco Le Pro 3. Yes, the naming could have been better, but there are other things that make us forget this flaw. The 7.5mm thin phone features the latest Snapdragon 821 SoC and is fuelled by a massive 4,070mAh battery. Just like other recently unveiled smartphones from the company, the Le Pro 3 also ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack in lieu of USB Type-C powered audio. The 5.5-incher comes with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. In China, the device is available in four colours including Silver, Grey, Rose Gold and Gold, with a starting price of about Rs 18,000.
