As per the order of TDSAT, TTSL will be paying this amount until the issue is resolved. Moreover, the fee will be levied on the net flow of the text messages from the date of filing of the petition.

TDSAT also has directed to Vodafone not to disconnect interconnection of the text messages which are generated from the Tata network. Immediate restoration is asked if the messages have been disconnected.

This TTSL case was similar to Aircel very recently in which Vodafone had demanded 10 paise per SMS. It was a temporary measure. TTSL petition has been fixed now for further hearing on January 10, 2013. The same date has also been given to Aircel for hearing.
