Twitter has announced that it has rolled out an upgrade for its iPhone and Android app. As projected, both platforms are getting more tweets, which exhibit content trailers, effigies and video recordings for tweets with links to partner internet sites.
On the company's blog Sung Hu Kim, Twitter's product manager for mobile, wrote "Since we introduced expanded Tweets on twitter.com, we’ve added several new partners like MLB and C-SPAN to a diverse and growing list of media sources,".
The app upgrade also pass backing for custom, curated hashtag pages presented to the social network during the last month, permitting firms such as NASCAR to assemble tweets from a particular set of users on an individual page.
In addition, users can also obtain push notifications from specific users, making part of Twitter’s drive for reliable user know-how.
The up-gradations arrive as Twitter constricts regulations encompassing third party access to its application programming boundary.
Twitter repeated admonitions during the last month of the potential of being cut off from access to the network for circumventing the regulations, mainly for those application programs, which imitate or replicate the mainstream Twitter consumer customer knowledge.
Twitter held specialized networking site LinkedIn had fallen foul of the edict during the last month, and slash its access to the network's API.
Twitter also discontinues access to filters and “mute” traits in order to conceal or hush tweets, to make sure its ads are witnessed by everyone.
The crackdown on third party application programs has been damned a few programmers as Twitter becoming a “walled garden” similar to Facebook.
