The Phablet Segment in the Indian Smartphone market is witnessing the wide range of launches since last few months. Adding to which UMI, a Chinese Vendor has launched its Phablet in Indian market, naming as UMI X2 with a price tag of just Rs.14,000.
UMI X2 is a Dual SIM Smartphone which sports a 5 inch IPS Display, and it is capable of producing full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The company has added Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for added protection of the touch screen.
This Smartphone is powered by 1.2GHz MTK MT6589 Quad Core Processor, GPU: SGX544 coupled with 2GB of RAM for better response from the device.
It runs on Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Operating system. The Android 4.2 upgrade is promised by the company to roll out in April, this year.
For Photography needs on the go, UMI X2 houses a 13 Megapixel Autofocus Rear Camera with inbuilt LED flash. The Rear Camera is capable of recording Full HD 1080p videos. It also packs a 3 Megapixels front camera.
You can store your extra large Multimedia library in its 32GB of internal memory, which can be expanded further 32GB using a micro SD card slot.
This Smartphone's connectivity features include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS with A-GPS and other standard options. It is fuelled by 2,000mAH Battery.
Going with the specs and features, this Smartphone looks just great. At a price tag of Rs.14,000 you can't expect such high end specs and features.It will be a tough competitor to Micromax A116 Canvas HD and Lava XOLO A1000.
