Videocon gearing up for new handsets

Spice mobiles revolutionized the camera phone segment by bringing on the Spice S-1200 – a 12 mega pixels camera with 3x optical zoom at an affordable price range of Rs. 12,990. Now, Videocon wants to ride on that success. Videocon will be launching 4-5 new handsets including a camera handset with a resolution of 8 mega pixels and a 2.8 inch touch screen called Videocon V1805. This handset will be priced at Rs. 7,000 and will be announced very soon officially. V1805 has an interesting colour combination of red and black. This device will also boast dual-sim facility. The 8 mega pixels camera included packs in face detection and smile detection capability.


Videocon will also be releasing another 4-5 dual-sim handsets. Till date, Videocon has launched around 75 handsets including the successful Android 2.2 handset called Videocon Zeus V7500.
