Videocon Launches Budget Jelly Bean Tablet VT-75C

Indian company, Videocon has launched a new tablet in the budget range- the Videocon VT-75C which is built with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and has 2G voice calling facility. The VT-75C is the successor of the VT10 and the VT71.

Priced at Rs. 5,965, the VT-75C has a 7-inch multi-touch capacitive touch screen with automatic orientation and detection sensors and a display resolution of 480x800 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM. The device has 4GB internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB via the microSD card slot. The device has a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera for video calling. For connectivity purposes, the device offers 2G voice calling via SIM card, 3G network support through USB dongle, Wi-Fi support, OTG, HDMI, EDGE connectivity via SIM card and Bluetooth. The device runs on a 3000mAh Li-Pol battery.

The device comes with preloaded apps such as Saavn, Facebook, Skype, Times of India Diamond Twister 2 and much more.

Pre-orders for the device is being taken on Infibeam, although the release date is still unclear. Flipkart has listed the device as coming soon and many other websites are also displaying the device for pre-order. Also, the device is currently available in white color only.

The device is priced competitively and will clearly challenge Micromax Funbook P600, DataWind UbiSlate 7C+ Edge, BSNL Penta TPAD WS708C, Karbonn Smart Tab 10 and other 7-inch voice calling devices that have been launched recently.
