Videocon to introduce 4G LTE mid next year

Videocon Group has announced to shortly introduce 4G Long Term Evaluation (LTE) services in the country by mid of next year. They have won spectrum for six circles in the recent concluded 2G Spectrum auction.


It is believed that the company will make every effort so that its customers remain enjoying the best possible services and of smart value for money product offers.

This brand new LTE network services of Videocon Mobile Services will enter the market with complete 4G products and services in all the six circles allotted to it - Haryana, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh, Gujarat UP west, UP east, Bihar and Jharkhand.

This will ensure Videocon to stand to profit with more efficiency by using the same spectrum resources, getting about 30 times more data capacity than 2G network. The new network will be able to deliver high speed data of up to 100 Mbps to mobile users and it will also support heavy data apps likes Maps, HD Video streaming and more.

Videocon Director and CEO Arvind Bali said, "Per Mbps cost of LTE at 2.3GHz is much lesser even when compared with a brownfield 2G site that has been upgraded to 3G... It will be more so in the case of 1800MHz LTE deployment."
