Videocon VT85C Android tablet with voice calling & 3G support now available for Rs.8799

India’s leading consumer electronics manufacturer, Videocon has introduced a new Android tablet in India dubbed as Videocon VT85C. Priced at Rs.8799, the new Videocon tablet offers voice calling & 3G network connectivity support. It is available to purchase at the leading online retailers and in the physical stores across the country.


Videocon VT85C offers a 7 inch capacitive touch display that offers 1024*600 pixels. For performance, it is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor along with 1 GB DDR3 RAM. The tablet is running on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and there’s no info if it will be updated with the newer versions too.


Moving on to the camera technology, the new Videocon tablet features a decent 5 MP rear shooter along with 0.3 MP front facing camera. Connectivity options of the device include, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. The SIM slot for voice calling is located at the bottom of the back panel. It comes with 4 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up-to 32 GB using an external microSD card. The 10 mm thick device draws its power from a decent 3000 mAh battery.


Videocon has also loaded this entry level tablet with applications like Facebook, Vstore, OperaMini, Hungama Entertainment and more. Videocon is going to face stiff competition in the tablet market with devices like Google Nexus 7 2012, Lava E-Tab Ivory, Swipe Halo Value+ and more.
