Vodafone India slashes 3G tariff plans

Vodafone-3G-Speed-Test-300x235On Tuesday 19th June, Vodafone India walking on the path of other telecom providers slashes its 3G tariff plans to about 80%. You can now avail the Vodafone 3G services from 25 INR to 1599 INR. The normal 3G usage rate of Vodafone has now fallen down to 2 p/10 kb. Along with that, Vodafone India has ushered various new 3G plans for the users as well.

Giving a boost to the 3G users, Vodafone has also taken back the roaming charges on 3G data usage. Now, you can use 3G services anywhere in India without any additional charge. Vodafone aims to create a strong base for the third generation 3G users in the Indian market. Vodafone 3G tariffs offer you 25 MB data surfing for 25.00 INR and 12 GB data surfing for 1299.00 INR with validity period varying from plan to plan. The users can use the 3G services from their bundle package.

Reductions in 3G tariff plans are coming at a time when Government of India is planning to hike the reserve rate for spectrum distribution. This will make the situation even tougher for the companies. Experts say that if the proposed prices are accepted, then the users should be ready to see a steep increase in their mobile and internet bills. Government will take the decision on spectrum prices on 21st of July, 2012. It will be interesting to see the response of the customers to this 3G tariff slash.
