Wikipedia gets an Official Android Application

|January 20 2012 |Mobile Apps

The Wikimedia Foundation has released the first official Wikipedia App for Android devices. This app is introduced for Android devices running v2.2 Froyo and later versions therefore. In an effort to make content easily available for the large userbase, Wikipedia has just announced their official app.

Wikimedia Foundations know that there are many users who access this vast database through Android devices. In order to enhance the user experience and easily access the data from Wikipedia, they have taken this initiative. This app drives you to access more than 20 million articles and some fascinating features like viewing offline, sharing articles to friends, on-the-fly language switching, History and the ability to conduct searches about what's nearby using your location feeds.
