Wishtel launches IRA Capsule

Mumbai based budget tablet makers, Wishtel, has launched a new tablet-cum-PC device called the IRA Capsule in its IRA series.

The IRA Capsule has the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. The device sports a 10.1 inch LED multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display with 1024x786 pixels display resolution. The Capsule is powered by a 1.6GHz dual core processor along with 1GB of RAM. It has 16GB internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card.

The Capsule houses a 5MP rear camera and a VGA front camera.

For connectivity purpose, the hybrid PC device has a SIM slot for 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB and HDMI port options. The device will be fueled by a massive 8000mAh battery which the company assures the device will offer up to 5 hours backup.

The device will have a number of preinstalled apps by the company such as Wish Learning, WIsh TV, Wish News, Wish Games, and WIsh Library. Apart from these, users will also enjoy the Android apps from the Google Play Store.

The tablet will be released for sale in 35 cities through 350 network dealers in black and metal color variants. The release date is set at sometime in the first week of April.

The other IRA devices available in the market just now are the IRA Thing 2 and the IRA Comet HD which are also budget tablet devices. The IRA Capsule’s main competitors are the Zync Z909, and Fujitsu Stylistic Q702 to name a few.
