Xolo Play with Nvidia Tegra 3 processor teased

Much renowned Lava Xolo family is all set to welcome another new member in the famous smartphone family dubbed Lava Xolo Play. Lava was the first company to launch a smartphone powered by Intel namely Xolo X900 and this time, its going to be the first Indian company to launch a phone featuring Nvidia Tegra 3 processor.


The new device will flaunt a 4.7-inch HD, capacitive touch screen IPS display engineered on one-glass solution technology with 1280 x 720 px resolution. To make it a device supporting graphics better than any other smartphone, Lava powered the Xolo Play with a 1.5 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor accompanied by 416MHz 12 Core NVIDIA ULP GeForce GPU to ensure smooth working. It poses 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS.

Xolo Play boasts an 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor, LED Flash and 1080p video recording with a 2MP front camera making it ideal for video calling. It also poses 4GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

As connectivity options, the single SIM device provides 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS / aGPs etc and for full backup it has been powered by 2000mAh battery. Xolo Play poses all features required in an ideal smartphone. Be it speed, RAM or processor, it been made a complete package. Unfortunately nothing can be concluded about whether the device is worth buying or not until Lava discloses the price of the device but as per the rumours Lava wants the device to be a pocket friendly gadget so as more people can buy the device. If this is true, Lava Xolo Play might be a big hit in the market.
