Zen launches Ultra Tab A900 for Rs 7,999

|October 19 2012 |tablet

Last tablet we saw from Zen mobiles was the Zen Ultra Tab A100. The tablet did not get much momentum, though the company managed to sell a decent number of tablets via the Home shop 18 tv channel.

While other Indian companies like Micromax, Karbonn launched one after another Android tablets to get more market share, a few companies like Zen and Lava kept itself under the shell after launching just one tablet. However, Zen mobiles is now back with its new tablet. The company has tried to keep itself out of the Herd by launching a 9-inch tablet, Zen Ultra Tab A900.

The company claims, Zen Ultra Tab A900 to be the first affordable 9 inch Android tablet in India. It sports a 9-inch 5 point multi touch capacitive touch screen. The tablet runs on Android 4.0 topped with custom 3D UI, powered by 1.5 GHz CPU and 512MB of DDR3 RAM.

Detailed specifications goes as below:

  • 9-inch, 800 x 480 pixels, 16M colors capacitive touch screen

  • Android 4.0 with custom 3D UI

  • 1.3 MP front camera

  • Internal Memory - 4GB, expandable further by 32GB

  • 1.5 GHz processor

  • 512 MB DDR3 Ram

  • 4000 mAH battery

While the large sized battery is definitely a great plus point, we feel company should have included a better Ram considering the larger display.
