ZTE Geek officially launched with Tegra 4 processor in China

ZTE has finally officially launched its NVIDIA Tegra 4 SoC powered Android smartphone ZTE Geek U988S in China. It is a full HD display featuring smartphone powered by the amazing gaming experience provider Tegra 4 processor. It was originally announced back in April this year and since then company has been testing it for optimal performance and now it is finally released for consumers in Beijing. It is the first Android smartphone to be powered by the Tegra 4 processor chipset.

Features wise, ZTE Geek comes with a 5inch HD touch screen display with the resolution of 1080 pixels and 294ppi pixels density. It is powered by a 1.8GHz quad core NVIDIA Tegra 4 System on Chip along with 2GB of RAM memory. Processor under the hood in the phone will surely provide amazingly smooth hard core mobile gaming experience with highest graphical enjoyment.

It is running on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system version and might also receive future Android updates too. It comes with 13MP rear and 2MP front facing camera for video calling. Connectivity wise it offers WiFi, Bluetooth, USB and WiFi hotspot features. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage further expandable via microSD card slot.

ZTE has powered this cool gaming smartphone with a 2300mAh battery which is not really optimal for a device like that. Currently it is only available in the Chinese market with 3G connectivity which is only enabled for that region. We expect it to launch in a different variant in other smartphone markets too.
