ZTE, the Chinese smartphone maker, is working on a new Android smartphone dubbed as ZTE Nubia Z7.  A photo of the phone has surfaced online and if reports are to be believed, the upcoming smartphone from the company will be carrying a massive 6.4 inch display. ZTE has recently announced two new flagship smartphone for the global market dubbed as ZTE Nubia Z5S and its miniature variant with quite similar specifications.

ZTE Nubia Z7 is reportedly in the development process and leaked reports claim that the phone will be released in the early January 2014. Mobile 3g.cn, a Chinese website has got a photo of the phone showing back panel of the device which was later reported by folks at Unwired View. So, it looks like the phone is kind of confirmed to arrive to join the competition of the phablets.

ZTE is currently reported to be concentrating more on the premium devices rather than the entry level stuff and the existence of ZTE Nubia Z7 just confirms that. It looks like the company is all set to release big size smartphones to compete against the big brands like Samsung and Sony.

No other details regarding the ZTE Nubia Z7 are available at the moment besides the 6.4 inch massive display. But, as the phone will be a flagship device, we can expect it to arrive with some higher specifications like Snapdragon 800 processor as well as Android 4.4 KitKat operating system version.
