Basic smartphone with 3G support
The Datawind PocketSurfer 3G4X flaunts a small 4-inch TFT display with a screen resolution of 480 x 800pixels which results in a poor pixel density of 233ppi. The device is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor coupled with low 256MB of RAM which makes it a very tedious job to multitask and play games.
With only 512MB ROM the phone lacks decent storage space. It can however be expanded up to 32GB with the help of an external MicroSD card for storing important data. Android Kitkat runs as its OS.
A 2MP rear camera with LED flash and digital zoom allows you to click pictures.A 0.3MP front camera has also been provided for selfies and basic video calling. The Datawind PocketSurfer 3G4X is powered by a 1,200mAh li-ion battery which supplies the needed power for the device to run. Usual set of connectivity features like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Micro USB connectivity are found in the device.
The smartphone comes with a very average configuration which naturally leads to performance that is not upto the mark. The cameras are also quite poor. The only great thing about this phone is the support for 3G connectivity. So if you want a phone majorly for surfing the internet, you can go ahead with this device.
