Overall User Rating (4.2 Out of 5 based on 5 ratings)
Overall: i bought it from the exclusive store with increased ram now 12 ..correction in specs first
(it supports 16 gb dual channel, comes with a single 4gb stick..i ll suggest iv u a power user increase ur ram 12 gb config LV ram other wise u can go for 8 or simply 6 /4 according budget) ,...its everything that i want ,,work work and works..
using it for 3 weeks approx . i m a computer professional tech specs and their performance means a lot to me..
its light ,build is above avg.has a back lit keyboard (which Helps) , i prefer the non touch just a personnel pref.
bttr life is about 4-5 hours on avg usage..great screen ,,great processor in this price segment its slim easily portable.no heating issues while normal usages..
Against it ..
Few things i wold have suggested improvement..
Graphic card is a toned down version of r7 265 with 64 bit/14.4gb/s insstead of 128 bit /32gb/s) in the actual product ..dell did this to lower the performance to downgrade the heat issues..since its a slim device not a lot of air vents but it has a mac inspired heat sink device on the back edge which performs avg ..and gets Heated like hot ) so its not a device for hardcore gamers beware..
2. the inside design could be a little bit pepped up..in terms of body material and the plastic feel ..otherwise its good all round.
conclusion best 4th gen laptop one can buy ..iv looks r a bit of a concern irs gorgeous,,other wise iv u want more performance gaming wise choose some thing having
better mobile gpu like nvidia 740m or 750 m. or say inspiron 14rr or hp pavilion 14n201tx can also be considered in this price segment
