The Gionee M6 Plus comes with a 6-inch Full HD (1,080 x 1,920 pixels) AMOLED display and features a pixel density of 367ppi. It runs on Android v6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system, has a metal body and is available in impressive gold colour variant. Under the hood, there is a 2GHz octa-core processor coupled with Mali-T860 MP2 graphics engine and 4GB of RAM. The MediaTek MT6755 chipset manages the workflow in a steady manner.
Camera and Storage
The device is armed with a 16MP camera at the back and an 8MP (2.2F aperture) front snapper for selfie lovers. The users can also record 1080p videos via main camera and share it with their close ones. As far as the storage is concerned, the phone houses an internal memory of 128GB which can be further expanded upto 128GB using a microSD card.
Battery and Connectivity
There is a 6,000mAh li-polymer (non-removable) battery which keeps the show running for long hours. Gionee has also included 9V/2A dual-charge chip for fast charging along with reverse charging feature Â meaning you use your phone as a power bank to charge other devices. Connectivity options include dual SIM, 4G (supports Indian bands), 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11, a/ac/b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS with A-GPS and microUSB 2.0.
The M6 Plus comes with a good design, sleek body and sturdy build quality. This phablet is meant for the ones who want to enjoy high end games, full HD videos and multitasking in big screen. The handset has packed in good amount of RAM, onboard storage option, and massive battery backup (with quick charging feature). Even the snappers click awesome shots be it day or night. But one of negative point is that the on-device data encryption chip is not supported in India.
