Display and Build
The HP 2000-2202TU features a 15.6-inch HD BrightView LED backlit display which offers a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It carries a professional feel in the black licorice color.
The lid carries a brush finish to resist scratches and smudges but the palm rest has a glossy finish and remains susceptible. It has a thickness of 35.8 mm and a weight of 2.24 kg which will cause problems when you intend to carry it around.
CPU and Platform
For driving its processes, the HP 2000-2202TU is loaded with a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i3 processor belonging to the 2nd generation series and sitting on HM75 Express chipset. It draws support from a 2GB DDR3 RAM which is suitable for managing simple tasks only. You can use the 2 user accessible slots for expanding its memory up to 8GB. It manages rich videos and games with the preloaded Intel HD 3000 GPU. It runs on 64 bit Windows 8 OS.
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
The HP 2000-2202TU flaunts a HP TrueVision HD webcam paired with a digital microphone so that you don't face any disturbance while enjoying high resolution video calls. It has a regular 500GB SATA HDD for taking care of storage needs. The SuperMulti DVD burner lets you exchange files via disks smoothly. The dual Altec Lansing stereo speakers provide quality multimedia experience.
Battery and Connectivity
The HP 2000-2202TU features a 6 cell Li-ion battery with up to 3 hours of uninterrupted service. Connectivity features include VGA port, digital media reader, Bluetooth v4.0, 3 USB 2.0 slots, WLAN, HDMI out and Ethernet port.

The HP 2000-2202TU has been built solely for handling standard business tasks without much hassle. It features Intel Core i3 processor but can pose problems due to the poor 2GB RAM. The HD webcam, powerful DVD Drive and Windows 8 OS are other notable features of this machine. Its bulkiness can be a cause of concern though.

  • Unmatched price with this config

    Unmatched price with this config

Overall: HP's this model is very competitively priced at this price. Any other manufacturer's similar configuration is atleast Rs.3600 constlier, and without Windows 8, so add the upgradation cost.nnI wanted to git one laptop/desktop to my cousins, and my allocated budget was Rs.30,000.nAfter a visit to Nehru Place, Delhi, and checking for a similar config to this one, i3 (atleast 2nd Gen), Win-8, 15.6" (or 18.5" for desktop), 500GB HD, 2GB RAM, I turned my focus to a branded Laptop. As the assembled desktop with Original OS, UPS and all relevant accessories would have crossed 35,000. Plus, I hate adding dongles for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On-board features make motherboard costly, so, thats a trade-off.nnAfter a visit to one of the stores of leading retailers of electronics, and online search, I zeroed on Lenovo and HP. And finally this model of HP.nnI was mistaken for Accidental Damage Warranty coverage for HP laptops, but before my purchase from a retail store ( I ordered first from Flipkart, but they could not procure it and refunded my money ), I was informed that only G6 series is covered. All I want to tell is, this model is NOT covered under accidental damage.nnPros:n1. This has better i3 of the 2nd gen series. Some other models have a lesser rating i3-2nd gen. Here it scores better.nn2. RAM slots, 1 is free in case you want to add RAM. Some brands of Lenovo have both slots occupied, so, in case of upgradation, one RAM goes waste.nn3. Altec lansing speakers ( I know they dont make much of a difference ).nn4. PRICE.nn5. Windows 8. No need to spend efforts for upgradation.nnNeutral:nn1. Screen resolution is same in this price range laptops.nnCons:nn1. 5400 rpm Hard disk. 7200 would have been better, but again, price is an issue.nn2. Battery backup is not in higher end of the usual range, but enough.nn3. Onboard graphics only, Graphics card would have been better. But again, price plays spoilsport in that case.nnI would recommend you to purchase an extended warranty from the seller you are buying this from. Probability makes it prudent to get such coverage.nnThis model fits perfectly in the price range and configuration along with brand name and wide service network of HP, in case if it is needed.nnI hope I helped you to make informed choice.

Overall: This Laptop has whatever I thought of. It seems, Skype is pre-installed now days for Windows 8. Packaging, customer support, prompt delivery all are real plus when you buy from flipkart. I also got HP laptop bag along with this.
