Display and configuration
The Intex Aqua A2 boasts of a 4-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a maximum resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The smartphone is capable to produce 16M colours at a pixel density of 233 ppi with a multi-touch support. The unibody Aqua A2 measures 124.5 x 64 x 11.7 mm, and comes in black, blue and white variant colours.
The Aqua A2 runs on Android v4.4.2 (Kitkat) and boasts of a powerful hardware. It is empowered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Processor pepped up with a Spreadtrum SC7731 Chipset and also features a 512 MB RAM for a satisfactory multitasking experience.
Camera and Storage
The Aqua A2 sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash to provide the shutterbugs with a decent image output at the resolution of 2592 x 1944 Pixels and also allows video recording at 480p 30FPS quality. However this device comes with a poor 0.3MP front snapper.
The all new smartphone provides a good in-built storage space of 8GB which can be further extended up to 32GB with the help of an external memory card.
Battery and Connectivity
The dual Sim handset packs in an average 1,500mAH, Li-ion battery that promises to deliver a talktime of 5 Hours and a standby time of 200 Hours in 2G.
On the connectivity front, the Aqua A2 supports 3G and hosts other features that include GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS and USB connectivity.
The Intex Aqua A2 with a quad-core processor and a 5MP rear camera is a gem of a device and can prove to be a tough competition for other entry level smartphones available in the market.
