The Karbonn A80 features a 4-inch LCD multi touch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and a pixel density of merely 233 ppi. Doing the duty under the hood of the smartphone is a 1GHz processor working along with a paltry 256MB RAM. It runs on the Android v4.4 KitKat OS right out of the box.
Camera and Storage
The Karbonn A80 comes with a 2MP camera inclusive of digital zoom and LED flash at the rear end. It doesn't have any front facing snapper which is a huge drawback from the point of view of a smartphone. It has 2GB of internal memory, most of which is consumed in loading the OS and apps. It can of course be expanded up to 32GB.
Battery and Connectivity
The Karbonn A80 draws fuel from a 1,400mAh Li-ion battery which is rated to deliver up to 4 hours of talktime and up to 250 hours of standby life. The connectivity and networking options come in the form of USB port, GPRS with EDGE, WiFi and Bluetooth.
The Karbonn A80 has been made strictly for those who are too tight on budget. The sole positive point of the device is the latest Android KitKat OS. However, it lacks the standard features including 3G connectivity and front camera which make a smartphone different from conventional phones.
