An extremely powerful mid range smartphone
Display, Appearance and Configuration
Karbonn Titanium S5 Plus comes with a large 5 inch IPS LCD display with a 540x960 pixel resolution to ensure that videos and images look crisp and vivid. Due to the display being an IPS screen, the off axis viewing is great and there is no problem of glare. Underneath this screen lies a 1.3GHz quad core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM running AndroidÂs latest v4.2 Jelly Bean OS to exalt a seamless UI. Appearance wise the phone looks solid in build and the curved edges give it a more aesthetic appearance and easy gripping.
Camera and Memory
The Titanium S5 Plus comes with 8MP back camera with an excellent resolution of 4000x3000 pixels. It also carries a 0.3 MP front facing cam for video calling. The attached LED flash ensures that you go clicking seamlessly even in low lighting conditions.
The internal memory at 4GB is a tad lower than expected but there is the option to enhance it upto 32GB via a microSD bay so itÂs not a very major issue.
Connectivity and Battery
The Titanium S5 Plus has all the latest in connectivity with the exception of LTE support, but the HSDPA 3G allows for downloads and uploads at blazing fast speeds of HSDPA and HSUPA respectively. If that is insufficient, and you want more, you can always hook it up to a WiFi network and get even faster speeds. The GPS with A-GPS is pretty accurate although it does drain the battery quite a bit, which is limited to 1800 mAH.
With all the focus being towards the Micromax Canvas phones, one might fail to notice the Titanium S5 Plus, which will be a folly because this phone is just as cool as its name with a host of powerful features power packed in an affordable price bracket, definitely worth a look.
