A basic dual sim smartphone
Display and Configuration
The LAVA Iris 349S features a 3.5 inch HVGA with a resolution of 480x320 pixels and is capable of displaying 262k colours. The display is average with a bit on the darker side and the off axis viewing angle isn't great. The 1GHz processor is sufficient to run the gingerbread Android OS which comes bundled in the handset, but only 256MB of RAM is might be lacking in running multiple apps simultaneously.
Camera and Memory
The 2MP primary camera is basic and stutters while taking photographs and there is a noticeable lag between taking one picture and the device being ready for a second shot. The secondary camera is decent for video calling but the lack of 3G support will make it redundant. The device has only 512MB of inbuilt memory out of which mere 113MB is available to the user to install apps. The expansion slot allows 16GB of additional memory to be included for the storage of music and videos.
Connectivity and Battery
LAVA Iris 349S is a dual sim (GSM+GSM) phone and connectivity wise it has Bluetooth v2.1 with handsfree audio, a Wi-Fi hotspot enabler, FM radio and USB connectivity. The 1400 mAH battery lasts about 5 hrs on 2G calling.
The LAVA Iris 349S is a basic smartphone with preloaded features and dual sim capabilities. The hardware is decent but the poor memory and outdated OS might leave one wanting for more. Gp for it if you are tight on budget.
