Affordable 4G smartphone
Design and Display
The LG F90 doesnÂt flaunt super attractive looks but doesnÂt score poor as well. Its plastic body with a back having a dotted design can resist fingerprints in a better way compared to glossy panels. Its large yet compact size makes it easily portable as well. It comes with a 4.7 inch IPS+LCD display with a qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and a low pixel density of 234ppi. The display is vivid and offers good viewing angles.
Processor and OS
Despite being available at a decent price, the smartphone runs the latest Android v4.4 KitKat OS along with LGÂs latest customized UI. It comes with only 512MB of RAM which is bound to cause lags once you load a number of games and apps. However, the LG F90 has a decent Snapdragon 400 Cortex A7 Dual Core 1.2GHz processor from Qualcomm.
Camera and Storage
It has dual cameras which include an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. It does not score too well with only 4GB of internal memory which is of course expandable using microSD cards.
Battery and Connectivity
The LG F90 consists of a mighty 3,000mAh Li-ion battery which accounts for its chunky outfit. Its support for 4G LTE comes as a great surprise considering the price at which it is available. Other connectivity options loaded in the smartphone are 3G, Wi-Fi 802,11, microUSB 2.0 port capable of charging other compatible gadgets, GPS with AGPS, Bluetooth, Computer Sync and Tethering.
The LG F90 is a great choice for people who are looking to explore the benefits of 4G without spending much. Although it has a powerful processor to accept almost anything that you throw at it, the 512MB RAM may cause troubles while running multiple games and apps. The mighty battery backup deserves a mention as well.
