The incredible smartphone
Display and configuration
The LG G4 Dual is among few of the Android phones to offer QHD screen resolution. The phone flaunts a large 5.5-inch Quantum LCD display that offers a pixel density of 538ppi. The Quantum LCD screen panel delivers 20 percent wider colour reproduction, 25 percent higher brightness, and 50 percent higher contrast than the LG G3. The smartphone sports a slim-arc design, with a 3,000mm radius, which offers 20 percent increase in rigidity when compared to its predecessor.
The G4 runs Android Lollipop with the brand's latest UX 4.0 on top, which it promises to offer faster and more intuitive experience than its previous iteration. Under the hood, the handset has a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC, which has a 1.8GHz dual-core Cortex-A57 cluster and a 1.44GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 processor. The performance is further enhanced by 3GB of RAM and an Adreno 418 GPU.
Camera and storage
For imaging, the LG G4 sports a 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 lens, optical image stabilisation 2.0, a dual-LED flash, colour-spectrum sensor, and laser autofocus. The phone also houses an impressive 8MP front snapper that is capable of recording 2,160p videos. Its camera application offers quite a handful of software tweaks like recording RAW images, manual shutter speed, ISO settings, and capturing panoramas up to 104MP.
For storage, the LG G4 has 32GB of internal memory on board, which users can increase up to 2TB by inserting a microSD card, making it one of the first smartphones in the world to offer this functionality.
Connectivity and battery
Apart from offering dual-SIM slots, the LG G4 has several connectivity options including 4G LTE networks support, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi (including latest ac standard), NFC, A-GPS, DLNA, USB 2.0, and video out via Slimport for up to 4K resolution. A 3,000mAh battery keeps the device running, which supports wireless and quick-charging.
The LG G4 is among the most premium flagship Android phones of the year 2015. The smartphone offers jaw-dropping specifications including a Quantum LCD QHD display, a powerful Snapdragon SoC, impressive internal storage, and latest Android software features. However, since it's a flagship offering, the phone's price falls on the premium side.
