The affordable Android phone from Micromax
Display and configuration:
Micromax Bolt A61 comes with a 4 inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels capable of displaying 16 million colours for a true and vibrant picture. Underneath the display, lies a 1GHz single core processor by spreadtrum alongside 256 MB of RAM, powered by Android JellyBean v4.1 operating system with modifications to the UI.
Camera and storage:
The phone is provided with dual cameras, a 2MP primary shooter with a resolution of 1600x120 pixels and a front facing secondary camera with a 0.3MP lens to click shots at 640x480 pixels. The camera supports video recording and the phone is capable of playing multiple video formats, making it easy for the user to enjoy his media. To store this, 512MB of memory is provided onboard which can be expanded to 16GB using a microSD bay.
Connectivity and Battery:
The phone has dual sim slots with one 3G and one 2G slot each. The 3G connectivity of this phone is pretty impressive with HSDPA 3G which gives a downlink of 5.76Mb per second. With other features such as WiFi, USB and micro USB port and Bluetooth v2.1, Micromax ensures, that connectivity will never be a problem for the users.
Everybody wants a smartphone and Micromax has pretty well realised this. It has been coming out with affordable smartphones and the Bolt A61 is one of them. With a decent set of features bundled in a compact body and affordable price tag, it is poised to be a very good phone for those who want to shift from a candybar phone to a touch screen phone. Configuration is just mediocre, so consider it only if you are looking for an affordable 3G Android phone.
